Happy New Year and delicious paninis!!!! Austin Daily Press was the perfect last meal of 2010. Warm, melty, crunchy and delicious. The cart has a lot of hype because it was on the Great Food Truck Race on the the food network http://www.foodnetwork.com/the-great-food-truck-race/index.html. I can't believe I didn't know that show existed! Anyways, the service was great but unlike other carts we've been to, this is street food dining, not trailer park dining meaning that there's no seating area or bathrooms or BYOB. But it's worth it and I'll be back.

  1. How can melted cheese w/turkey and bacon in a warm panini (on a cold night( be anything but satisfying? It can't. I cannot, however, give full points for flavor b/c it lacked creativity. A chipotle mayo would have been well-advised if ADP was looking for 5 airstreams. FFC is awesome.

Mozz Pesto was awesom. The eggplant on the other hand was not enjoyable. If you're going to a show or on your way to a bar stop by and stand around while they whip up a panini. Stand b/c there is no seating and watch out for people b/c your waiting room is the side walk. So if you're around 9th and Red River and you have a rumbly in your tumbly stop at Austin Press but don't get the eggplant.

Daily Press is a great place to grab a small lunch and take it to go. The sandwich is small, but I guess average for a panini. There is no place to sit; however the flavor of the fresh mozz tomato balsamic pesto panini was outstanding. I don't know if I will go back. Then again I'm already craving another one.

Starting NYE @ ADP was the best atmosphere to begin the night out on the street. The Black Forest Ham and Cheddar had delicious spicy ranch, but the Turkey Bacon Cheddar Jack with tomatoes, my friend, was way better. :)

The Panini (Turkey Bacon Cheddar Jack) was awesome. I loved the mixture of tomato with bacon and how it tasted like it was was made in an actual kitchen. I would definitely try another panini from Austin Daily Press again.

Very nice service. Had to go here b/c of the hype. It was on the Food Network! I had Turkey Cheddar Jack Bacon and it was delicious. Bacon was perfectly cooked, not over done as it frequently is on sandwiches. I could totally see myself returning after a night out.
